Welcome to NRG4X4

Say it quickly and you will get the idea!

We are a club that is full of energy and enthusiasm!

The club started on May 1 2009 and was formed by a small group of people who enjoy travelling the length and breadth of our Country using its many legal rights of way.

We do not organise trials, we do not arrange competitions, in fact we are not competitive! Just a group of people having fun

Regular events:

Our aim is to hold at least 10 events per annum with the majority being camping weekends – day trippers always welcome of course!

As a non-member you can attend one event free (apart from any camping fees) to meet us and see what we get up to.

Then make your choice to become a full or occasional member.

Whichever is best for you is good with us

Want to know more?

Just click on the links above and enjoy!

There is a whole variety of information which will help you decide if you would like to join us. We have a public gallery which we plan to add to regularly, our event diary so you can check to see if there is something nearby that you may like to attend, and various information pages to help 4×4 owners.

We are also happy if you just want to track what we are up to.

Supporting charity:

Each year we take part in the Ibstock Country Fair building an off-road course and taking visitors to the show around it for a small donation to charity. In 2009 we took 300 visitors round using 15 vehicles and made over £400. 2010 was very wet but we still managed to raise over £250. We have given funds to The MS Society, The Air Ambulance, and Ibstock Scouts. 2010 has seen our activities expand as one of our members is entered in the Macmillan Challenge
We also offer our services to help maintain and repair the green lanes we enjoy driving to try to keep them open to all.

Supporting charity AND having fun. What could be better!

And we are green!

Several members run their vehicles on recycled waste vegetable oil – the stuff you cook chips in – and have invested in the recycling equipment. All we need to be permanently green is a regular supply of used oil. Want to get rid of some? Like a regular collection?
